We are currently looking for a study and career counselor for Rudbeckianska Gymnasium in Västerås. Are you a trained counselor with a strong commitment to students' learning and future? We warmly welcome your application!

Your responsibilities

You will work with guiding our students towards their future studies and careers. Your most important tool is the personal conversation, but you will also conduct various information sessions and activities designed to support students in their future choices. In addition to standard counseling duties, the role includes work with the school's marketing.

You will be part of the school's student health team and work together with the school counselor, school nurse, and special education teacher in a unified student health service. You will have close contact with teachers and school leadership, meet regularly to discuss overarching issues, and work proactively and preventively. Collaborating with guardians and other professionals within and outside the school is an important part of the assignment.

You will primarily work with one or more of our programs, which may be influenced by your previous experience from high school.

Your qualifications

We are looking for you who are trained as a study and career counselor. You have good digital skills and a strong commitment to students' learning and development. Previous experience in counseling is desirable. As a person, you are confident in your role, enjoy collaborating with others, and are proactive. An interest in the school's marketing activities is seen as a merit. The position involves independent work, so we look for someone who can easily structure and drive their work forward.
